Trader Joe’s 3-Ingredient Lettuce Wraps

Cook Time 10 minutes


  • Large nonstick skillet
  • Chef’s knife


  • 1 pound ground meat I prefer pork
  • 1 jar Trader Joe’s Thai Style Green Chili Sauce
  • Salt
  • Romaine butter lettuce, or iceberg lettuce, to make lettuce wraps
  • Optional toppings: grated carrots pickled red onions (I have a recipe on my site!), cilantro, peanuts, sesame seeds, cucumber, avocado, mango… the sky’s the limit


  • Heat a large nonstick skillet over high heat. If using pork or beef, add it to the skillet with no oil. If using chicken or turkey, warm 1 tablespoon oil before adding.
  • Stir, breaking the meat into tiny crumbles, until cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes. Drain off any excess grease or liquid (pork and beef will have grease, turkey and chicken will have liquid). Turn the heat down to medium and stir in 1/4 cup Green Chili Sauce and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Build lettuce wraps with the meat and lots of toppings!
