Minty Strawberry Jargaritas for All

Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Large (32 ounce) jar with a lid
  • Muddler or wooden spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 large mint sprigs
  • 1 cup blanco tequila
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 limes
  • 1/4 cup triple sec

Substitutes

  • Mint: Try using basil or thyme instead! Or just omit :)
  • Blanco tequila: any kind of tequila works, but I hugely prefer blanco in a margarita. Vodka, Gin, or even bourbon would also work here!
  • Lime and lemon juice: use all of one, or mix and match as needed. If you like a sweet margarita, you can also swap in an orange for 2 of the lemons or limes. You can also swap in a grapefruit for THREE of the lemons or limes!
  • Strawberry jam: ANY JAM! Seriously, anything! Fig jam might be a little weird. But otherwise ANYTHING!
  • Triple sec: cointreau, or omit, or 1/2 an orange for the orangey flavor. You might need to add a little agave, simple syrup, or honey if you don’t use triple sec since it adds a lot of sweetness.

Instructions

  • Throw 2 mint sprigs into the bottom of your glass and muddle a muddler or the bottom of a wooden spoon.
  • Pour in 1 cup blanco tequila, the juice of 2 lemons, the juice of 2 limes, 1/4 cup strawberry jam, and 1/4 cup triple sec. Place the lid tightly on the jar and shake thoroughly to combine.
  • Pour over 4 rocks glasses filled to the brim with ice.
