It’s apple pie! In smoothie form! Soaked walnuts make this smoothie so fabulously creamy, and pack it with a natural source of protein versus a fake-sugar-packed protein powder.
Apple Pie Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 small red apples, cored and roughly chopped (about 3 cups chopped apple)
- 2 tbsp raw walnuts, soaked
- 1 large banana, chopped and frozen
- 2 mejdool dates, pitted
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp apple pie spice (or ground cinnamon)
- 1 cup ice
- Optional: 1 teaspoon each flax seeds and chia seeds
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients until smooth, 30 to 45 seconds in a high-powered blender.
